Certificate in Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH)

Duration: 6 days over 6 months
Fee: £800

The Training programme in Child and Adolescent Mental Health outlined below can be taken as a full 6 unit package with a Young Minds certificate, or units can be taken on a stand alone basis*

Certificated Route

For those following the entire programme the training will build the learning outcomes through a course of six sessions.  Each session will run from approximately 9.30am to 5.00pm and will comprise a combination of didactic teaching, small group work, work with live case material from participants and reflective practice.

Participants will be provided with a handbook containing training materials for each session including a programme, short biography of the trainer, copies of presentations, additional handouts where appropriate and information about YoungMinds.

Participants will also be supplied with a Learning Journal.  The journal is a tool that has been found very effective as an aid to reflective practice.  Participants will be encouraged to keep entries in the journal throughout the period of the course to consolidate their learning, and these will be reviewed as part of the training sessions.

Participants who have attended at least five of the six sessions will receive a YoungMinds Short Course Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

*Non-certificated route (stand-alone short courses)

Each of these days is also offered as a ‘stand alone’ one day training course. However prospective delegates must attend the first session: Introduction to Young People’s Mental Health, or be able to demonstrate attendance at an equivalent course or similar level of knowledge. Please note that these places are very limited and priority in allocation will be given to those following the certificated route.
